CAV II Agricultural

Agrivoltaic — Phase 2

Expanded programme for hybrid agricultural solar PV + BESS projects, with broader eligibility and increased capacities up to 4 MW.

The CAV II programme (Phase 2) extends the benefits of agrivoltaics with increased capacity and hybrid installations combining solar panels and battery storage systems (BESS). It targets registered planters and farmers seeking larger-scale projects, between 500 kW and 4 MW.

Why this programme?

🌡️

Heat protection

Reduced soil temperature and protection against crop heat stress.

💧

Water savings

Reduced evaporation and soil moisture conservation through partial shading.

🔋

Battery storage (BESS)

Hybrid PV + BESS for optimised production and better grid stability.

💰

Additional income

Sell surplus electricity to the CEB grid for regular income.

Large capacity

Installations between 500 kW and 4 MW for large-scale agricultural projects.

🏦

Flexible financing

Solutions adapted to farmers, including third-party investment with no upfront payment.
