Foreword
The Distribution Code sets out the rules, procedures, requirements and standards governing the operation, maintenance and development of the Mauritius Distribution System to ensure an efficient, coordinated and economical electricity service.
DC 1 — Purpose and scope
The Distribution Licensee and existing as well as prospective Users connected to the Distribution System shall comply with the relevant sections of the Distribution Code, including Distributed Generators and Customers.
DC 2 — General requirements
The Distribution Licensee shall act as a reasonable and prudent operator in order to:
- Preserve the integrity of the System.
- Prevent damage to the System.
- Comply with the conditions of its Licence.
- Comply with the Electricity Act 2005 and its amendments.
DC 3 — Planning criteria
